A Taste of Kenya in South Florida*

Steph Cee-Melanin Power Ceo and Founder

Melanin Power closed out June ” Pride and Cultural Month” with Marjorie Hollingshead, which many of you know as “Zainabu Natural Skincare and African Fashion. This was quite an interesting sit down; We laughed and chatted about the person behind Zainabu African Fashion and so much more. The day started off quite busy for the Power Boutique located in West Park, FL. The Clients never stopped until we placed a sign on the front door that said, “Filming in Progress”. Marjorie shared the art of becoming one of the most sort after African clothing line in South Florida. Her pieces drip off your body and falls eloquently as you strut your stuff.

We both shared and agreed that AI is winning, but Zainabu is giving it a run for its money. What we do know is that there is room at the top for everyone, and there is no such thing as an original Design anymore. Designers are picking apart fashion and creating their own, and it’s okay, we love our designers, and how they make us feel!

Melanin Power dug into the person behind Zainabu and was enlightened by what she shared. I trust that you will be as well. To know her, is to know her, I was impressed by her journey and pathway to where she is now, quite interesting. “This company called Waxxart” saw the potential in her line of Natural made skin Butters and offered her a platform on their site. Melanin Power saying their name was enough, if you know, you know. We should all go to https://zainabucosmetics.com and get her products so that all of the funds go directly to Zainabu.

Zainabu has been featured throughout South Florida at many events, Fashion Shows, speaking engagements, Tea Parties just to name few, there’s so much to look forward to. Zainabu has built quite a name for herself, and I quickly found out how unstoppable she really is. Below are a few photos of her last venture into the IslandSpace Mango Festival. I had the opportunity to attend this event, and it was truly phenomenal. There she met with new and old customers; they just had to get their Butters, they flooded her booth.

Melanin Power ask, ” what’s next on the agenda?” Well below are a few upcoming events, contact Zainabu for all Vendor opportunities at the Essence of Beauty Wellness Expo coming up in November, this is an opportunity for all vendors to display their products and Network with new Vendors, we’re all super excited to see what else is in store for Zainabu founder and Creator Marjorie Hollingshead. Stay Tuned for more!
