Melanin Power presents WWM

Melanin Power hosted six Strong, Professional and Highly intelligent women of Color. They all had something to offer and they brought the fire. The power in these Beauties says it all, let’s dive right in.

As our Bevy of Beauties gathered for our annual “When Women Meet” podcast, I thought to myself, if I can bottle these beauties I will. It was such a joy hosting this eclectic group of ladies. The day was a hit and the atmosphere reigned Supreme. This year’s topic was focused on The Power of Purpose Driven Energy and that Displaced Energy we all have to carry at times. As one of our guests Clarissa Hazel LMHC Mental Therapist stated “The Energy that helps to Simplify the Complexities of life”.

Here at Melanin Power, we’re well aware of the Energy that our Ancestors carried, the likes of Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Ella Baker, Shirley Chisholm, Ethel Waters, Ruby Bridges and so many more that precedes us, because of them, we ARE, We have become the Strong Black Women today because of our sometimes angry Ancestors. Sometimes we need anger to get to the next level. These ladies weren’t timid and by far were they weak. I’m pretty sure they had some displaced energy, and they also were labeled as angry black women. Melanin Power thanks them for their diligence and consistency for their Purpose Driven Energy. How do we display that Energy without being labeled as angry black women? Let’s discuss with our beautiful panel of ladies.

I’d like to thank my panel of ladies for such a positive, and energetic conversation. Who said all we do is gossip? There was so much to take away and had so much more to give. Stay tuned for the next WWM.
