MORE TRAVIS SCOTT ASTROWORLD NEWS: VICTIMS DIED FROM ‘COMPRESSION ASPHYXIA,’ CORONER REVEALS

The cause of death of the Astroworld victims has been revealed.

According to a report from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, all 10 people who lost their lives during Travis Scott’s festival died from “compression asphyxia.”

Of those who suffocated to death in the crowd surge, one had a “contributory cause” of death due to the “combined toxic effects of cocaine, methamphetamine, and ethanol.”

The concert attendees ranged in age from 27 to the youngest victim, 9-year-old Ezra Blount. Three of the victims were female and seven were male.

Just this week, the Astroworld stage was torn down, 40 days after the concert ended. Authorities continue to investigate what failures led to those deaths.

Travis is facing billions of dollars in lawsuits, while his brand has also suffered. He has reportedly been pulled from the Coachella lineup, while Anheuser-Busch has discontinued his Cacti hard seltzer.

In the wake of the tragedy, Travis is forming a concert safety committee to make sure a tragedy like Astroworld never occurs again.

“I have a responsibility to figure out what happened here. I have a responsibility to figure out the solution,” he said in his first interview since the Nov. 5 concert. “At the end of the day, collectively, everyone just needs to figure out the bottom line solution.”
